Description

The American Gold Eagle coin is the largest and most well-known Gold coin in the world, often effortlessly outmatching competitors in the worldwide marketplace. In addition, it is the official gold bullion coin of the United States of America (under the Gold Bullion Act of 1985). As a result, this coin is the top-tier gold for sale by the United States Mint each year.

In 1986, the United States Mint launched the American Gold Eagle coin in four distinct weights. The bullion versions of the coin are struck yearly with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz weights available to Gold collectors and investors. The 1 oz and 1/10 oz coins are, consequentially, the most in-demand among gold buyers.

American Gold Eagles minted 1986-1991 have Roman Numeral-dates inscribed on them, and in 1992, the United States Mint changed to Arabic numerals for dating Gold Eagles.

In addition to regular bullion coins (sometimes indicated as “scruffies”), the United States Mint also produces proof and uncirculated versions for coin collectors. The proof coins carry the Mint mark “W” below the date, indicating that the West Point Mint (West Point, New York) produced the coins.

This gold bullion also makes an excellent gift for graduations, weddings, Mother’s or Father’s Day, birthdays, and other special occasions worth commemorating.

Today, the 1 oz American Gold Eagle – BU (Year Varies) coin is available online from hollywoodgoldexchange.com.
